The 10th annual Garlic Festival was a success. A big "Thank You" goes out to all the people who came to the Festival - we hope you had a great time! MASTER GARLIC CHEF COOK-OFF Gail McCully of Port Alberni, BC became the 2009 MASTER GARLIC CHEF! Her West Coast Salmon Saltimbocca with Garlic Aioli took the $1,000 top prize. More... GARLIC PEELING & EATING CONTEST Randy Thompson of Quesnel, BC broke the existing Festival record by downing 12 cloves of garlic to win this event! More... GARY FJELLGAARD & FRIENDS Gary and Friends, Daryl & Saskia, were a bit hit both days of the Festival. These great performers held the crowd spellbound with their unique and entertaining styles, as did the entire line-up of stage acts. More... Spotted on a shirt at the Festival...
